The selection committee of prestigious XPLORER PRIZE recently announced Prof Yang Yi, HKIQST member, as the sole recipient of 2024 from Hong Kong among 49 awardees, for his outstanding contribution to exploration of interactions between electrons and photons as well as photonics.
As is known, the XPLORER PRIZE established since 2018, recognizes exceptional young scientists who are employed in full-time positions in Chinese mainland, Hong Kong SAR, or Macau SAR. The program offers a merit-based, no-strings-attached award, making it one of the most generous talent funding initiatives for young scientists in China.
